Hexagon combo/Hotovo

I got all inspired by the tutorials of the Festival of Hexagons that I had to try some. It resulted in this combo. At first I wanted to try one of those hexstatic hexagons and it went well. Later on it became the central piece of the quilt. Than I liked the seaside chevron and I started thinking about actually making it. I made the chevron a bit wider and added some hand quilting. Also the look of the hexagon used for the pouch catch my eye. As I used some scraps I also made few little ones using the method shown in pixie hexie wallet. So thanks for all those lovely and helpful tutorials which encouraged me to finish my first regular size quilt. It was a bit rush but I'm glad that I finished on time and could join in. I kind of challenge myself with it. It was not easy as my stash is very little and I had hard time choosing some fabrics that would work together. Moje první deka je hotová. Začala jsem s ní po shlednutí pár návodů v rámci Šestiúhelníkového festivalu. Festival končí zítra a daný termín mi pomohl s tím, že jsem to celé dokončila. No kdybych to nestihla, tak se taky nic nestane, moje šance uspět je zcela mizivá. To mi ovšem nevadí. Já si zkusila zase něco nového. Poprvé jsem šila s kráčející patkou, vyzkoušela si ruční prošívání a další, takže já jsem spokojená.

Backing is simple. I used some fun midgets and polka dots. The binding is also polka dots. The final hand stitched binding was the best part. It's great feeling to finish something. I have tried couple new things while working on this quilt so it's already a success for me.
