I have finished this week's project - Stem Messenger Bag. Oh well no stem on mine as I wanted more summery version. Leafs in the book remind me of autumn. Here's my girlie style. It's made out of two tablecloths which I recycle.
Oproti původnímu střihu jsem přidala kapsu na zip vpředu a uvnitř. Na klopu jsem dala magnet.
I have added zipper pocket to the front and magnetic snap closure to the flap. Another zipper pocket is inside.
It's simple pattern with many variations to be found. Nice project indeed.

Vera your bag is beautiful - that fabric is great! I would call this an "upcycle" project rather than a recycle project - I'm not sure if that translates well, but in my mind it means you improved the item while you were reusing it - I think you did a lovely job! My stem bag is cut out but I haven't started sewing it yet - it will be a fall bag :)
Vera...I think your version is clever...like the idea of adding the magnetic clasp and a couple of zippers. Still working on mine.

It's beautiful! I love your applique on the front. Thanks for showing us the changes you've made, i'm adding zipper pockets too, but now I wish I'd made the outside back pocket with a zip! I think I'm also too late to add a magnetic snap so going to try and find a way to add a zipper to the main pocket... I should be posting about it this weekend if you want to see.
